About Us
From Boston to Bay Harbor, A Night at the Ballet, is a one night only, gala performance featuring leading dancers of Boston Ballet and students of the Northern Michigan Youth Ballet Ensemble.
The performance will include some of the most iconic ballet pieces in the industry including classical pas de deuxs from Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty, and Le Corsaire as well as neo-classical and contemporary ballets by world renowned choreographers.
The evening will feature music that ranges from the sweeping orchestral tones of Tchaikovsky and Handel, to modern, introspective sounds of James Blake, creating a rich emotional landscape that flows from one piece to the next.
Join us for a performance that blends the timeless elegance of classical ballet with innovative choreography, performed by top-tier dancers in tutus and tunics from Boston Ballet’s wardrobe department. It’s an experience you won’t want to miss.

Master Classes
Providing exposure to world-class art is essential to the development of a student’s education, and nothing can compare to hands on, in person training. On the morning of Saturday June 14, prior to the gala performance, Boston Ballet dancers will teach master classes to local students. These master classes are open to the public and anyone is encouraged to take advantage of learning from world-class ballet dancers.
